Some Questions

Some questions that I think about when looking at all this saved artwork?

Childhood and Saved Artwork

Why did I saved this piece of artwork twenty five years ago from my daughter Nicole?

Did she like it?
Was is displayed in our home or did I stash it away as a keepsake? What would she say if she saw it now?
Would she even recognize it?
Is it as important to her as it is to me???

How does having an artifact of someone deceased increase our desire to save the art? When Lauren Monforte, a young college student of mine suddenly passed away... why was it so vital for all of us to preserve her artwork?

How has technology changed how we make and
save family artwork?
Have we lost something? Have we gained something?
(LEFT ABOVE: This is the spontaneous Ipod rendering from my daughter's cat.)
Is it art?
Why was it saved?
Has technology made it to easy to create and save?

Photographs Verses Photography as Art

How do family photographic images play apart in saved family artwork? Is it considered art? When is a photograph family art?

2D versus 3D ArtworkIs there a Difference or Preference?

Does 3D saved artwork such as ceramic pieces or trinkets of childhood with gold painted macaroni become a more favorable treasure?
